FOREIGN LICENSE PLATE RENTAL
The phenomenon of renting cars with foreign license plates is experiencing constant and significant growth in the Italian market. This growth is mainly attributable to the increased access to credit offered to various categories of subjects, such as NewCos, StartUps, and, in general, all individuals or entities that do not meet the financing criteria in the national credit context.
However, the appeal of a vehicle with foreign registration is also determined by a multitude of other factors, among which the clear economic savings and the simplification of related administrative procedures stand out.
Currently, it is estimated that about five million vehicles registered abroad, leased or rented long-term, are circulating on Italian roads, attesting to the significance of this trend.

DOCUMENTS TO HAVE ON-BOARD
DOCUMENTS FOR RENT:
It is possible to rent a vehicle with a foreign license plate or leased, on a long-term basis, provided that you contact a company based in the country of origin of the vehicle.In case of inspection by the Authorities, it will be necessary to present the vehicle documents along with the rental contract and the "Data Certa" certificate; paragraph 1 of art. 93 of the Italian Highway Code.
All of this must be accompanied by a simple registration with the FOREIGN VEHICLE REGISTER - REVE.First Mobility, upon request, can take care of preparing all the required documents.
The documents must be strictly kept on board the vehicle, as required by the obligations of the Italian regulations.
